Robi offers integrated somatic therapeutic touch & acupressure sessions. She attributes her own interest & growth in the field of community health to her 95 year old godmom as well as many other mentors who have been instrumental in teaching her “the way.” Robi’s work incorporates Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxa, oils infused with plants, stones and herbal elixirs created by following lunar cycles & solar gardening principles into her work.
Robi was introduced to herbal medicine, gardening and massage arts by her Grandmother and uncle at an early age. She has since trained at the Baltimore School of Massage, TAI-Sophia Institute, the Mandarin Oriental hotel group, AIMC-Berkeley and Five Branches University in San Jose.
Robi is an acupuncture-researcher whose interests are in mixed methodologies of ethnographic real world data. Historical records lead us to know that acupuncture medicine has been shared, as well as taught through transmission. Robi’s work seeks engagement with acupuncture practitioners to elucidate their experiences to enrich others’ understanding of the field, the acupuncturists and their practices.
Robi continues to study Tibetan medicine with Dr. Yangdron Kalzang, L.Ac, along with Esoteric and Egyptian Esoteric Acupucture practices. She is honored to bring her 4th gen-embodied care forward to connect the dots and the points.
Robi's volunteer commitments have included:
House of Ruth home for women, JSSA Hospice, the (Oakland) Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, UCSF’s prenatal acupuncture clinic, and the Navajo Healing Project.
